New important clue - your input is needed

Unread post by Meso »

Guys, I have discovered a new important clue that could play a significant role in symptom relief.

It will be the topic of my next article, but I need you to answer 2 questions:
1. Have you tried either a phasic or tonic dopaminergic? how did it affect your symptoms?

Tonic-firing dopaminergics include:
- Selective MAO-B inhibitors, such as Selegiline, Rasagiline, etc
- Direct dopamine agonists, such as Pramipexole, Ropinirole, Cabergoline, etc.

Phasic/burst-firing dopaminergics include:
- Dopamine reuptake inhibitor (DRI), such as Methylphenidate, Modafinil, Cocaine, derivatives, etc.
- Mixed dopamine releasing agents, such as amphetamine, methamphetamine, derivatives, etc.

2. Have you tried a phasic/burst-firing serotonergic? how did it affect your symptoms?
Phasic serotonergics includes:
- MDMA, Fenfluramine, Phentermine, etc.
- Tryptamines: alpha-methyl/ethyl-tryptamine, DMT, etc.

Dopamine and mao inhibitors worked about for about 50% as they did before pssd.
True agonists worked for about 10%.

Inhibitors increased sex drive, agonists did not (at all).

Both inhibitors and agonists gave a few days of symptom relieve after taking them.

I tried mucuna pruriens (l-dopa), don't know how this fits in to this picture. Gave me a short window of an hour, felt good on it. Thing is the day after i felt 10 times worse so deemed it not worthy.

Tonic dopaminergic: have not tried

Phasic dopaminergic: cocaine - extreme worsening of all sexual symptoms. Returned to baseline after 2 weeks

Phasic serotonergic: MDMA- worsening of all sexual symptoms. Return to baseline after a few days to 1 week.
MDMA / psilocybin- relief of all symptoms, was 100% recovered for some time. Significantly improved baseline.
We're all gonna make it brah

Tonic, cabergoline very small dose for a 2-4 months. Enough to reduce prolactin but didnt really help much except maybe boost libido slightly

currently on my 3rd week of 0,25mg Rasagiline.
- better libido in week 1
- major brainfog and anhedonia (autoreceptor activation?) in week 2 and loss of libido improvements
- improved energy and loss of anhedonia in week 3, no improvements of libido compared to pssd baseline

pramipexole was tried in the past, cycling between 0,125 and 0,5 mg. minimum effects (some energy in beginning) but major side effects (flu, insomnia). tried for 3-4 weeks, then i cycled a couple times

didnt try anything else (yet)

Mucuna Pruriens: I didn't see any improvements.

Cabergoline: reduced my Prolactin levels, but not affected my libido.
Paroxetine from 11-2012 to 08-2018 never had sexual disfunction.
Added 5-htp for help with Paroxetine withdrawal, then I got severe PSSD, with altered hormones levels and CFS.
Symptoms worsened with time.
