It seems that alcohol upregulates SERT and we assume that downregulated SERT is the reason (or one of the reasons) for PSSD, maybe that's why so many of us get at least some relief the day after drinking. So, do you feel better after drinking?

I do as well, and alot of other people report this phenomenon on reddit/longecity.
it's nothing to do with SERT i believe, its likely GABA dopamine rebound. I experience it on Phenibut (GABA-B agonist) as well.
If you kept drinking alcohol every day to keep SERT upregulated, you'd quickly find out that isn't going to work, same with cocaine.

I feel fine (not all times though) in the day i take Phenibut and the other day, sometimes 3 days after...then gradually worsens.
And only works for mood and/or anxiety, not for PSSD. Alcohol is a mess...many times just create more brain fog and bad mood.
