Like anti vaccinations. People die from this shit.
Wrong. People who are anti-vaccination for things like autism have no medical support. PSSD has been shown in plenty on papers.

But, not all drugs are bad as you say. Eventually a psychiatrist is likely needed to find a safe way to stabilize.

Not correct either. I could post studies like this all day. This is just the first I found.

Antidepressant monotherapy vs sequential pharmacotherapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, or placebo, for relapse prophylaxis in recurrent depression.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21135325

"Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is a group-based psychosocial intervention designed to enhance self-management of prodromal symptoms associated with depressive relapse."

"For depressed patients achieving stable or unstable clinical remission, MBCT offers protection against relapse/recurrence on a par with that of maintenance antidepressant pharmacotherapy."

There are different levels of depression. This is why SSRIs are seen as ineffective, for mild to moderate depressives, which respond to exercise & meditation therapies better.
If someone is in a deep depression regardless of lifestyle, environment, then they are a clinical case, and require medication.
I'll just say that i was one of those cases. I tried, exercise, meditation, tDCS, nootropics, all the drug free stuff. Socialising did not help, i felt disconnected & isolated from everyone, when before, i was immersed & happy socialising.
Severe clinical depression is a serious disease that cannot be willed out of, via lifestyle changes. And you dont have to be suicidal or disabled to have it.

its been 6 years for me... a lot of other horrible body damage too, i wish it was temp.

there is absolutley no test or proof for a disease called depression severe or not, by that I am not saying it doesn't exist but i'm not saying santa claus doesn't exist either. People struggle with FEELING depressed for reasons... be it nutritional or environment or whatever....

When i lose hope. i play stupid computer games

What helps me is reading recovery stories (I've got links for every story I could find if anyone wants to see them) and reminding myself that people can and do recover from this. I myself have had PSSD since 2009 and still experience windows (I'm actually having a very good window right now). It's not impossible.

Bunny,im very interested in reading the recovery stories that you talk about, can you post the links please?

And, personally speaking: yeah. Prayer does help. As does heavy (and I do mean heavy) exercise -- every other day if you can manage it.

Finally: find a good holistic/integrative psychiatrist. It helps the most out of anything to have a professional on your side.

There are muche more recover stories from the web (in yahoossrisex, paxilprogres, etc...). I 've seen more than 50, but I don't have the links...The problem is that these threads are not joined and arranged in only one sección of a forum, and surfing forums randomly you can find a lot of people saying in their threads that are recovered.
