Healing possible?

Hi is it possible to recover from anhedonia or is it lifelong once you get it from meds. Everywhere I look noone recovers or I feel it's not the genuine truth. Is it that neurons are dead and can't be recovered

I think it's possible. Scientific articles on anhedonia have doubled in the last 10 years :

In the last 5 years, notable advances have been made thanks in particular to esketamine, which has been identified as being able to improve this symptom, through glutamate stimulation. The same applies to vortioxetine and a number of other drugs.
I don't think neurons are being killed, but rather the receptors have a new reference line :

Yesterday I was reading this interesting article on sigma receptors:

Even if there were dead neurons, our brains are neuroplastic and changes are possible.
