N-AcetylCysteine (NAC): Good or bad?

Unread post by tonyareias »

I read about mixed results and opinions but for me 600mg 1h (as needed) before sex improve my erectile function.
Note: I don’t have PSSD, only bad sexual side effects when taking SSRI.

N-acetylcysteine improves nitric oxide and α-adrenergic pathways in mesenteric beds of spontaneously hypertensive rats

In addition to increasing nitric oxide production, NAC can also potentiate the hemodynamic effects of nitric oxide by binding to it and forming a more stable substance, as evident from human studies where NAC treatment significantly enhanced endothelium-dependent vasodilation

NAC also helps to boost nitric oxide production, which can improve your blood flow and lower your heart attack risk. NAC may help to improve fertility in both men and women. One study found that men supplementing with both NAC and selenium experienced an increase in semen quality.

it's contradictory, studies show that it improves and others are negative 🤯
