Blocked Channels

I went down the youtube rabbit hole on the mechanics of SSRI's. If they block the re-uptake of serotonin between neurons, how do they not effect the releasing of serotonin? Is that a possible theory that SSRI have stopped the flow of serotonin between the neurons?

In the 3rd video clip around the 6:40 mark he talks about serotonin spinal cord injury, and the reason for erectile dysfunction. If we can prove this, and that these drugs caused it would it that not be a lawsuit?
