Water pump

Unread post by Vercingétorix »

Hi, i 'd like to read reports here from people who have already used a water penis pump. From what i've read, air pumps may cause injuries to penis, so I plan to buy a water one which seems safer, but I haven't found many reports on it on the internet. My main pssd symptom for 5 years has been weak erections. I can have erections on my own and with a woman, I also have morning/nocturnal erections, but it is always weak erections. I think it might be useful for me to artificially induce full erections, in order to "maintain the machine", but can a water pump really do that ? On the videos i'v watched, the penis is not erected when the user take it off. And i don't understand how a water pump can make an extension, because water is uncompressible. If someone can explain to me...

Well have you experienced a significant drop in your libido since then as well?

Yes I have. The decrease of the libido could be just a consequence of erectile dysfunction, buy i am not sure of this, it's difficult to say. I also had genital numbness for 2 years, it improved when i uppered citalopram. Currently I am back to a low dose of citalopram, and the remaining symptom is weak erections. I've never had brain fog or reduced quantity of semen, so i guess i am a light case of pssd.

Wait, hold on, are you still taking citalopram?
are you saying that you reduced your genital numbness by increasing citalopram dosage?
And, does your erectile disfunction only happened when you lowered the dosage? but not at full dose?
Really?

It looks like SSRIs on you have an "anti-PSSD" effect, like you are the one of the rare cases on earth that function better in full doses, so the "anti-depressant" effect, kicked in.

Yes I am still on citalopram, and yes my genital numbness was reduced by going back to a higher dosage. I confirm that my erectile dysfunction happened when I lowered abruptely citalopram. My erection improved (like my genital numbness) when I increased the dosage, but unfortunately the improvements in erection didn't last very long, only 3 or 4 months. Later I lowered again very slowy, the genital numbess didn't come back but the erectile dysfunction is still remaining.

Yes, it seems very rare. My general physician told me that he's already seen the same thing only one time with a patient, i mean someone whose sexuality is boosted by an isrs.

It means that the antidepressant effect is stronger than the secondary effects. I find this quite logical.
Escitalopram, 10mg/day, Jan-May 2019. Fluoxetine, May-Sept 2019. Mirtazapine 7,5mg/day, November 2019-January 2020. Escitalopram, 5mg/day, Feb-May 2020.
Symptoms: sexual & emotional numbness

Yes, maybe. Or the effect is different on me than on most people.

FrankG1178 from this forum describes a similar experience, a sexual function boosted by zoloft and pssd starting when he stopped it. You can read his story at the page 2 of my "member intro" thread.

So, if it's just ED, go for Cialis/Viagra or for a higher ssri dose and be happy. You are a lucky one.
