Although i seem to be responding ok to (mild, non ssri) serotonergics, melatonin give me instant numbness…
Because SJW inhibits serotonin reuptake (amongst many other effects). Never tried.
Melatonin is produced by your body to shut down so I do not find this surprising. It’s processed quickly so its effects don’t last (that’s why it was useless for my sleep issue which was early awakening)
I take some melatonin before bed only when I feel I will have trouble to get asleep (too many things in my mind)
Escitalopram, 10mg/day, Jan-May 2019. Fluoxetine, May-Sept 2019. Mirtazapine 7,5mg/day, November 2019-January 2020. Escitalopram, 5mg/day, Feb-May 2020.
Symptoms: sexual & emotional numbness

yeah sjw is a dirty supplement for sure. It does seem to help some people, although temporarily in most cases, potentially due to 5ht1a upregulation. But rhodiola seems interesting, especially since the positive effects dont disappear after a few days (or at least in some of the cases now).

It is more a (natural) drug than a supplement (supplements would be things we eat everyday, like vitamins, wouldn't they?).
I would say SJW is a good antidepressant ;) If we all had taken SJW instead of SSRIs, I guess this forum wouldn't exist. But drugs are "dirtier" than supplements, for sure.
And now that we are here, SJW doesn't look like the safest AD.

I am more and more convinced the windows on drugs happen this way:
1) drug kicks-in and you have first effects (good or bad - if they are bad most people stop)
2) body adapts to drug first effects ~1 month later and you have "definitive" effect (if they are "less good" than first effects, you call it a "window")
This is what I experienced in my trials.
So it's a bit early regarding rhodiola for me :) I may have had a window.

Hi, it's been a while since my last post. I updated OP.
My most obvious and measurable news is that my sleep (which was my biggest issue at the beginning, 2,5 years ago) has been almost normal since almost one year.
I thought other symptoms were stable but reading my logs shows my emotional numbness / anhedonia / low libido issue has worsened since last post. This is the only issue left.
The difference being I am not taking anything, I may try something again...
