What can I do?

Unread post by Ch21 »

Hello. I have PSSD symptoms for 2 months without any improvements. What should I do? Wait or try low Dose SSRI or wait for natural healing? It has also worsened for a week.

Please don’t do NOTHING. Wait at least one year until you start with something, no supplements, nothing. Just wait. Please believe me. I worsened all my condition by starting taking things. Don’t even take cialis. I know how you feel! But this forum is so confusing and people tell you to do this and that. Don’t believe nothing just wait. I will post a link below by forum member AFX. This advice should be fixed on top of the page. Many people screw their situation even more by following random advices on this forum.

Stay strong!

Dear new members, please read these honest thoughts about PSSD from me

You need to just calm down, things will get better with even time alone and there are so many options to try that can improve Your PSSD and emotions. What You now need is the right mindset and to be strong for now, clear Your thoughts, think of future solutions and improvments. Always keep somewhere in Your mind the future point in Your life when You will again enjoy sex and keep the focus on things to do to achieve that goal. There are many PSSD success stories, recoveries even from the really bad and complicated cases - people do get better, do not worry, brain is so wonderful. Even after serious brain injuries after serious accidents people do recover - with even time alone in most cases. Ask a neurologist if You do not belive. So to give it really enough time is the absolutely first step and the first best thing to do and in the meantime make some wise steps that can little by little help and cure Your condition because there are many many options that You did not try that can really help. Trust me on this one, things will sure get better

Everybodys case is different and things can get better sooner, sometimes little later. But to give it enought time to let Your body alone do the work is the absolutely neccessary first step. Without waiting it is simply not giving it enough possibilities for Your body to recover. And in the meantime there are plenty plenty of steps to make to improve - even sooner. Time and patience is the essence here and many many options are there to patiently try and see results. Some active recovery plans alone need patient time for it to see results, but You need to stick to it longterm for couple months to see results. So time alone + some active plan to be persistent with (takes dedication for at least couple months) = route to success. Everything else is simply being impatient and giving up possibilities to improve and cure, belive me, there are solutions but You need to give it enough time and try - be patient and persistent and follow a good plan, trust me, You WILL be surprised with very good results on Yourself

MY KNOWLEDGE AND LONGTERM OBSERVATION OF PSSD BRINGS ME TO THESE CONCLUSIONS
- PSSD is NOT a permanent damage that cannot change. No. It is a condition that CAN be fully reversed
- if You just foundout You have PSSD for like couple weeks - it is very very high chance it will go away most likely on its own within cca 3 months - even if it now looks that You are completely lost and a very bad case
- second highest chance that PSSD will go away on its own is in the time period of 3 months to 3 years - however bad it may look now at this moment - it is still possible it will be fully gone somewhere during this period or at least it is very likely that the improvements during this period are going to be very significant
- only for some people it persists for longer period than that. But do not get scared by that. Why? Because if You ask them, the vast majority honestly did not for longterm follow any really highly active recovery regiment like the one that I describe lower (with following of every single step of it) during their time with PSSD (with even me included until lately). It is never too late to start with it and to begin Your real recovery after long period of inefficiently spent time and inactivity. Are You tired of waiting? Tired of doing nothing activly towards healing from PSSD? Then read the next lines really carefully and keep in mind that there ARE ways to fight it! Let's heal and finally fight Your PSSD actively and efficiently!!

AFX ACTIVE RECOVERY HEALING PLAN
(every single step from this plan is very important without exception to maximize Your PSSD healing)

1. Intestinal health
- daily high quality probiotic and prebiotic foods, drinks and/or pills (to minimize pathogen overgrowth and to maximize nutrients efficiancy and absorbtion. It is also antiinflammatory and boosts immunity - important steps)
2. Healthy foods, drinks and nutrients
- cycling of wide spectrum of healthy fresh foods and drinks, mainly focus on lots of vegetables daily, fair amount of fruits, fair amount of meat and eggs (all this is very important to naturally replenish all vitamins and minerals depleted by medications and lifestyle, so get healthy foods from the whole spectrum)
- overall more alkaline - not acidic, healthy diet (balance acidic with alkaline vegetables)
- cycle mineral waters
- minimize refined sugars to minimum
- no preserved, artificially flavoured or meals from fast food
- no cigarettes or at least minimize
- absolutely no alcohol no drugs
3. Supplement healing
- daily quality magnesium (get at least the chelated form, but from the studies and from my Mg experience magnesium L threonate has no match in getting magnesium to the brain and in replenishing neuronal magnesium in the most efficient way)
- daily quality widespectrum multivitamin
4. Sex
- regular sex or masturbation, if You are able to try to do it daily or on some other regular basis
5. Active sport
- daily walking, cardio
- 3x weekly do sport like cycling, swimming,.. in a really active way (up to 5x weekly, but do not go this intense if You do not feel natural about it, listen to Your body)
6. Free time
- surround Yourself with nice and clean enviroment, relaxation, hobbies, music, playing computer games, do something what You like or find something new that You could like
- if You find it hard to just relax then be active also in Your free time, find something nice that will fill Your mind, maybe try to find something new if old things are not working efficiently enough, keep looking for Your new free time hobby
- look into active positive meditation methods and practice it 20-30 minutes daily
7. Sleep
- regular sleep regiment, if You have problems with falling asleep then look for some online guides how to do it with relaxation, some methods are really efficient
8. Immunity
- daily breathing excersices, daily cold showers (minimizes body inflammation and boosts immunity)
9. Pelvic floor physical training
- best is to check for a visit with a specialist to get individually recommended sets of training (e.g. kegels training)
10.Positive attitude and patience
- will You get positive results and improvments from this recovery plan? Yes. Will it be improvments or full healing, to what extent will it positively help You? That is something I cannot answer You up front as we all are different human beings, but I can tell You that this regiment is overall beneficial and it WILL help You and Your PSSD. That's an honest answer. So always have positive attitude and patience, wait for the results, You have to stick to this plan longterm to get them, the time is now working for You, but You have to follow every single step from this list for it to work in the most efficient way possible

From my point of view, I would let out even the supplement advice on the text above, but everything else can be followed.

Good luck!

Why do you claim that PSSD is NOT permanent without any evidence ?
You're telling him to have regular sex and avoid using pde5s - how ppl with erectile dysfunction can have penetrative sex witout medication ? If he doesn't get a good erection for long time he will be feeling much worse mentally.

Well i have to argue at this point, that even though trying things is dangerous, and can make you worse (Although im truly convinced that a lot of getting worse involves just a natural course of this disease where symptoms can take 1 or 2 years to fully developed regardless of what you do or take), your chance of natural recovery is practically really really slim (Please don’t attack me for speaking the truth), otherwise these forums would be full of recovery stories (And yes im aware of the 40 recovery stories you guys have, and the most credible ones involves taking something and are not natural, or involves decades of waiting, and at that point can you really differentiate what is normal or not?..Im 1 year into PFS, and cant remember what it feels like to be horny anymore)..
Im only saying this, because i wished someone told me the truth at the beginning instead of „eat healthy, do sports etc....“...I would have chosen different choices, if i knew that.
Be strong dude, and someday we all would make it and be normal again, or at least die trying

You're delusional mate.
This is not my point of view. This text is written by forum member AFX. But I believe in it.

The use of PDE5s muted my orgasm and killed all my emotions. That’s why I wouldn’t recommend it.

All I say is: Give it a year time before you start anything. The whole system is hypersensitive at the beginning of PSSD. I experienced a crash from every single supplement I was adviced here.

My therapist worked with three PSSD cases and they all recovered within a year and they did NOTHING. Time healed them.

No offence, I just want people preserve from doing the same mistakes I made...

Ok thanks i will try it. The problem is, I read a lot more from long runs. Reports of short PSSD caeses are rare. But I only took sertraline for two days maybe I have luck. Are PSSD courses dependent on the duration of intake?

I think that’s the problem. Most people on these forums are long time sufferers. I think many people who only have it for months or a year never register. And keep in mind that it is not only a PSSD phenomenon, that the internet is the voice of the desperate in the health sector. I had an psychotic episode seven years ago and all people on a forum told me I will never recover. One year later I was cured completely from it, finished my studies etc. The diabolical thing about PSSD is, that no doctor or statistic can give you perspectives. So this forum seems to be the only place to go. And everybody claims to be an expert here and desperate as you are, you follow.

I also only took two pills of citalopram, I am in my 6 month now. I think if you didn’t take the pills over years, you will get better more fast. But that also is just a thought, can’t proof it.

Stay strong, I think chances are high that you bounce back the next months.
