My Condition. Same as yours?
10 years ago I was diagnosed with gad and panic disorder. I ve used almost all ssries like prozac, paxil, effexor. My libide had been low but i was reacting perfect to the erectile meds like cialis and viagra.
But one day my doc. wanted me to try out bupropion which is known as wellbutrin or zyban and used 75mg which is the lowest dose for 2 weeks. During the use of this med, i was extremely happy(even when i cant sleep) got anxiety but no anhedonia. It was the first time i used non ssri drug.
After 2 weeks it lost its effect and i felt very agitated, no motivation to anything, no power to do anything, brain fog, confusion. It was worse than it had been before the wellbutrin. Then i stopped it but after all of this i am not responding to erectile meds at all. No sesation, no libido, no desire etc. It's been more than a year but nothing changed. Also i developed worse anhedonia and have tinnitus. My t levels are in normal range but something was is interesting.
My prolactin level before welbutrin was 20 ng/ml (high after ten years of ssri use maybe normal?**) After failed welbutrin use it cranked up to 38 ng/ml.
I got checked my blood test at least 15 times so far and no improvement. Pituitary MRI showed nothing. Everything is normal.
Big Question: Do you think my d2 got desensitized so that my prolactin rised up after 2 weeks of welbutrin use? And besides the prolactin, which neurocells, neurotransmitters or hormones might have been effected?

I’m sorry to hear about your current situation. I am in the same boat but Cialis and viagra currently work for me. Did these Ed pills work for you the full ten years? Reason I ask is no dr has been able to tell me how long these pills would be a viable option with tolerance etc. as there has been no long term studies. Is it possible that you have built up tolerance? Have you tried a higher dose?

Hi marc. Yeah they did work very well with ssries. Jusr 25mg was enough. My condition went worse after using a medicine which effects or mimic dophamine (bupropion). I try full dose but no big difference now.

Your the first person I have heard of that has been able to verify 10 years of successful use of the Ed pills. If you don’t mind, could I ask how often you were taking them on average? I took wellebutrin after having your same issues with viibryd. It didn’t help while on it but after stopping I got a positive window. How long have you been like this? I’m asking because you may improve some. I have had this issue six months. At first I was totally impotent, now I can sometimes have function well enough for sex on my own but it is few and far between, have 70% loss of sensation there, and usually no arousel or libido. Every once in a while I have a wave of libido but doesn’t last long

I used to take 25 -50mg viagra 1 - 2 times a week i was diagnosed when i was 23. After 2 years of ssri use i wasnt able to erect or sustain the erection thats whay my doc. Suggested me to take it. So now i am 33 and till last year it was totally fine. Tried dostinex which was good but gave me the worst axienty and panics. Bromocriptine is also good but worsened my mental condition like dostinex. I havent got checked my dht but my cortisol and prolactin are high. Thats why dopamin agonists work but i cannot use them. Supplements help tiny bit.

Yeah I’m 36 and off everything but side effects stayed so now here I am relying on those as well. I tried buspirone which helped for a bit but then it went away.. I’m hoping they find something that gets us back to normal. Pssd is so under recognized. My dr just thinks it’s in my head and I have psyched myself out but I’m married and comfortable with my wife it’s not that. I just feel not attraction and nudity does nothing for me on arousel or anything..
