I take 600mg. It's lithium carbonate, so you have to drink a lot of water.

Thank you Bunny. What is your plan with lithium? You will quit it some day or stay on?

Right now I have no plans to go off of it, just because it keeps my mood stable and the few times I missed a dose I felt pretty awful.

All my emotions are pre-PSSD state (can still get happy, cry, enjoy things, anger). Lithium just helps control the extreme negative emotions that sometimes want to come out.

I experienced almost no clitoral pleasure at all during PSSD, but after being cured I have it again.

(Also, I stopped paroxetine a month ago. I don't really experience much OCD anymore and I don't know how much it could have helped anyway. It never affected my sex drive, thankfully.)

I believe sexual recovery took effect in June of last year, then 10mg of paroxetine were introduced a month later (nothing changed as far as sexual side effects after it was introduced).

I am convinced the main problem of our syndrome is the silencing of genes. Read this about Lithium:

''Lithium acts by preventing the process of DNA methylation, which is critically important to improving mental health and preventing mental and emotional disorders.''

And also this: ''Decreased global methylation in patients with bipolar disorder who respond to lithium.''

And also this:'' Lithium Down-regulates Histone Deacetylase 1 (HDAC1)''

Meaning, this might be a good psych med against epigenetic silencing. Has any of you tried it longer term besides bunny, and if so, what is/was the experience.
