My test, progesterone and Prolactin levels

Unread post by lost_soul »

Prolactin: averages out to over 1000 (range 45-375) over two tests. So I have hyperprolactinemia.

test: 2.8 (below range for an EIGHTY YEAR OLD MAN). Suddenly ALL my problems (cognitive decay, pssd, fatigue, sleeping 12 hrs a day) over the past few years make sense.

First off, I'm ditching my meds which are probably causing the hyperprolactinemia. More importantly, is there any way to treat my low free t? I'm guessing not. But THIS HAS TO BE IT. I was strong and energetic before pssd with a high libido, so it must have duked my free t to this ridiculous level. Please say this can be fixed

21, male, extreme pssd for four years
Tried inositol (slight improvements) cialis (very limited improvements) yohimbine (slight improvements) maca root (no effect) bacopa monieri (no effect) estradiol-17b (pronounced improvement in all areas of sexuality)

what are your other results. Progesterone, LH FSH , SHBG etc.
Maybe start zinc/ exercise to increase testosterone. Testestorone replacement therapy is another option but I think it should be the very last option as it can make you infertile

I don't care about infertility. My test is so low that I doubt exercise or zinc would make much difference. Prog was 4 nmol/l

Prog is high
PSSD Since March 2016 after 4 weeks on Sertraline
Conditioned worsened and peaked in April, since then possibly seen a 20% improvement
Would be useful for data collection if people could add their histories in their signature

High enough to cause extreme pssd on its own though? Guess I'll have to have a full blood panel done but fingers crossed if I lower my Prolactin and get on TRT everything will be ok

Could estradiol have suppressed your testosterone? I think sometimes it can suppress testosterone in a perpetual feedback loop. Some people snap back out of it using a HPTA restart protocol and never need TRT.

theres an inverse relationship between testosterone and prolactin
ditch whatever antidepressant / antipsychotic you're taking (if its safe at this moment in your life, and only under supervision)
start zinc, maca, excercise --> this really works

ive already been through the trt and its not worth it imo. you do get better boners tho

for hyperprolactinemia you can try dopamine agonists . as they decrease prolactin
