Mianserin
Re: Mianserin
Theoretically, Mianserin's Norepinephrine-Reuptake inhibiting properties might make arousal issues worse in Men.Whyme11 wrote:Has anybody pssd get worsen by taking mianserin?

More particularly in those with Anxiety disorders.
...Or Chronic Stress.

I am all for combining and relocating topics, but it is a bit confusing that people are discussing trials in a "cured topic".
Maybe it's just me

Re: Mianserin
I took mianserin for c. 3 months (Aug-Nov 2017). Started at 15 mg and subsequently increased it up to 45 mg, then titrated down to 0.
I am afraid mianserin was the key culprit behind my ED now. I clearly remember that soon after pushing mianserin to 45 mg, I started experiencing genital numbness, loss of libido and other symptoms.
I am not 100% sure though. As I took risperiodone for 12 days (4mg back in August 2017) and 1 mg and less for 1 month in Aug-Sept'17.

Re: Mianserin
So you actually think that Mianserin has low affinity to all serotonin receptors it blocks?Mianserin has very low, negligible affinity for the SERT = 4000 channel and very small to 5ht1 - a (400 - 1500), which is why it takes a long time to heal. (the LouisSyfer example).
Because in my case, I progressively went up from 15 mg to 52.5 mg and then dropped abruptly to 22.5 mg simply as could not take the side effects any more (dizziness, headache)...
And exactly at this moment terrible insomnia kicked in and I got that numb feeling there below.
Strange, judging by what you say, this should never have caused this.
I also keep having blurred vision, apparently side effect of mianserin as well. Indeed if I take SJW sporadically colors improve / blurred vision improves and there are sensations down there. What is there in mianserin / SJW which causes such positive developments?

Re: Mianserin
My general question would be more simple: can mianserin cause impotence?
