Don't go back on meds. At least try not to. Try coffee + 400mg l-theanine for work and don't use it every day.hs1312 wrote:Hi I am experiencing strong cognition and concentration problems, Its been 2 months since PSSD started.
Anyone here did or does experience concentration issues?
I am having a lot of problem at work because of these issues. I seem to have become very spacey and absent minded, having difficulty keeping up with conversations
Did anyone else improved these issues over time?
I am really thinking of going back to the SSRI on a lower dose because these cognition problems are kind of killing me . I can tolerate the PSSD sexual problems but this is too dificult to cope with

Re: Cognition / concentration problems
My cognition problems have very very gradually been improving with time, when it started I could barely read a book, now I can read my textbooks, still not at my normal level but should be there by next year if things improve at this rate. Cause you're only 2 months out you might see rapid improvement soon but I think in general the cognition issues will lift
PSSD Since March 2016 after 4 weeks on Sertraline
Conditioned worsened and peaked in April, since then possibly seen a 20% improvement
Would be useful for data collection if people could add their histories in their signature

Re: Cognition / concentration problems
I think mine got better over time. Maybe not perfect, but not as bad as right away.

Re: Cognition / concentration problems
I'm close to how I was normally now. It has improved almost 100%. I'm 3 years post snri, it can get better. I used to not be able to enjoy music and imagine things but these have resolved now, I can bring faces in my head clearly.
there is hope.

Thank you for the positive posts. Much needed around here. The negativity can get thick around here.
Re: Cognition / concentration problems
In the meantime, excersize and sunlight are underrated. I have made it a point to get at least an hour a day direct sunlight on skin and stay active and it definitely helps.
For the really bad days, definitely try the l-theanine and caffeine.
