Spontanious recover
Spontanious recover
Hello all.
If I'm honest this is really getting me down now. I'm single and getting older. This will probably never change. I have tried so many suppliments and medications. I don't think any if them have made a blind bit of difference. Its like there is a block in my brain that didn't used to be there. I'm rappidly loosing any hope now...been over 3 years.
Has anyone heard of anyone who has simply recovered over time? Anyone who simply went back to their previous state without taking anything.
The medication I was on (escitalopram high dose) I suppose did help with the OCD (pure o) although it made me largely a zombie. Now I'm scared to try more SSRIs due to the damage but the OCD is crippling. I don't know what to do.

Re: Spontanious recover
Time doesn't seem to make a difference. There are plenty of old posts here and older ones going back decades on Usenet. That said, there are people who have spontaneously recovered, but they are very, very few.
But there are things that may help.
1. Start doing nofap or some version of it. At the very least, skip porn. This is imho probably the most important bit. Give this at least 6 months.
2. Try inositol. Ignore the 18g/day suggestion that's floating around and start low. Try a few hundred milligrams. If you tolerate that, then keep increasing. You probably won't feel good on it, but you may improve on rebound or after a couple of weeks. Initially, you will likely feel worse. I think inositol may also help with ocd.
3. Steroids have more recovery stories than anything else, but are more risky. You could try "post cycle therapy". For instance: 2 weeks of clomid at 25mg a day followed by a week of nolvadex at 50mg a day. Pause for a month and repeat a few times if it doesn't work.

Re: Spontanious recover
Many thanks for this.
I'll look into 1.
2. Have tried insitol at high doses. Perhaps for no longer than a week or so though so I may try again.
3. Will look into this although I imagine getting this treatment may be difficult.
Anyway thanks again.

1. Nobody with PSSD has porn induced ED. No fap I am aware of one person it helps, and only while they are not fapping. I've never seen this actually benefit anyone else.DrugsAreBad wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 6:03 am Time doesn't seem to make a difference. 3. 50mg of nolvadex is a very large and unnecessary dose. I personally crashed horribly after 2 days of 20mg trialing nolvadex as a standalone, but that isn't everyone's experience. The only person this pct thing worked for was mrstaircase and noone else has ever been able to replicate it so I am highly suspicious of its efficacy. There is no need to ever go above 10mg nolvadex. You're also better off using enclomiphene instead of clomid at half the clomid dose. If you're going to run a pct after steroids, it should be be 6-8 weeks
Re: Spontanious recover
Point 3 is an opinion, not a fact. There are definately cases but more so for pfs than for pssd (that i am aware of). I only know one personal that used the clomid/nolvadex combination, which was mrstaircase. If you read his posts than you see that he mentions berberine improvements and only then pct.DrugsAreBad wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 6:03 am Time doesn't seem to make a difference. Re: Spontanious recover
No problem.
2) Inositol is worth giving a proper try. I don't recall exactly but I think the first guy who posted about it used it for around 8 weeks before he had any significant improvement.
I've had positive effect from inositol but only as a rebound effect. This makes it difficult to know when it's working because you only notice after you quit. While on it, it doesn't seem to work. Actually I tend to feel numb while on it, so initially it seems to make things worse, but then I bounce back and end on a higher level than where I started.
3) Yes, difficult but not impossible. That said, these chemicals are readily available if you make friends with some body builders...
Adding to the comment from Jaxx. I've seen maybe 5-10 recovery stories with various steroid combinations, not counting pfs. I haven't seen that many for any other compound.
Re: Spontanious recover
My symptoms improved significantly over the course of years. Even though I can't say that I fully recovered, it's enough to have a relatively healthy sexual life. Time did it alone for me, no supplements, drugs, whatsoever. There is hope, maybe not for full recovery, but at least some good improvements are certainly possible.
Trazodone, 25 pills (50/100/150mg), April '19, quit cold turkey
Improved significantly in 3 years. Greatest improvements came within the first year and a half. Still suffering from mild PSSD.

Are you got PSSD from Trazodone?Dalmatian wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 12:19 am My symptoms improved significantly over the course of years. But why do my doctor recommended me Trazodone for curing that?
