Information in Spanish?

Unread post by healingspell »

Hi,

I'm American but live in Spain and I was thinking of asking the doctor to help me get TRT/HRT/proviron (IDK which one!) to see if that will help with PSSD*. I speak some Spanish but still struggle with it and I suspect this could be difficult if not impossible to explain to him convincingly. Are there any official resources I could bring to him to help him understand what's happening?

Thanks

PS I found this from the forum but I don't think it's made by a medical professional so I'm not sure that would be sufficient: https://disfunzionisessualipostssri.blo ... -isrs.html

* genital numbness, some anhedonia still though it's gotten a bit better over the years, numbness in abdomen as a whole, orgasms aren't orgasms but just ejaculation. emptiness

I don't think there are pages written by Spanish doctors, but at www.pssd-hilfe.de if you click the flag in the upper right hand corner you can choose the language in which to read the site. And this https://www.pssdnetwork.org/es/home

you can also select some abstracts of recent studies on pssd and translate them into Spanish for the physician with the Deep-L automatic translator, telling him that the scientific literature is almost always written in English, and show him a list of the entire medical literature with titles in English.

In particular you could translate these:

This is because it is particularly mentioned by authors dealing with pssd:
Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction: A Literature Review
https://europepmc.org/article/med/28778697

This short full text because it is in a good journal:
Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction
https://www.bmj.com/content/368/bmj.m754.full

This is because it has seen the collaboration of many authors:
Diagnostic criteria for enduring sexual dysfunction after treatment with antidepressants, finasteride and isotretinoin
https://content.iospress.com/articles/i ... /jrs210023

About the treatments, you can tell him that some doctors are making experimental attempts in search of benefits on the pssd of patients ... in the literature so far there is little, as gathered here:
