PSSD crash from multivitamin?

Unread post by ihatelexapro444 »

Hi, I was about 99% cured sometime ago, even the anorgasmia eventually went away, so I haven't been active in the forum for quite a while, but today, after taking multivitamin, and senakots laxative for constipation, and 3 days earlier, dopa mucuna (which apparently is neurotoxic to 5ht/serotonin neurons, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/a ... MC5634697/), my PSSD returned or crashed, and now it feels numb like how it was months ago... What do you think?

I could have sworn it triggered right after senakot, it was like a flip of a switch.

Senakot doesn’t cross the blood brain barrier as far as I know. It acts as an irritant on the colonic wall to induce fluid secretion and colonic motility. Maybe if your PSSD is caused by a problem with your gut, Senakot could aggravate it.

You could be right, my PSSD could also be gut related, because I've used Mucuna Pruriens on the 2nd of Feb 2022, and was fine, then used it again on the 5th, and also at that same date I took the laxative sennakots because I was dealing with some constipation, and literally the next day, PSSD returned full force. Laxatives do affect the gut microbiome.

I think PSSD also includes the gut, not exclusively the brain.

ok guys, I had a revelation, I highly believed it was creatine that crashed me, especially with its action on 5ht1a, it's the same exact feeling I felt when I was early in Bupropion, complete numbness, and Bupropion acts on 5ht1a, though it was gone after several weeks of continual usage. Oddly, I took creatine on the same day I took what I mentioned above, Ldopa, sennakots, and it was 1 single time only, and ever since then, this has been the worst PSSD I have ever had, I rate it 1%, no signs of improvements, it's even worse than when PSSD first occur, a complete crash, when before I rated myself 70, 90, 100, 110...

i believe that it’s possibly caused by the laxative. i remember initially taking a laxative when my pas/pssd occurred

Actually is very possible that laxative did that. Check these:

It might have some 5HT1A effect.

It probably has to do with increased serotonin and 5ht1a. I'm extremely sensitive to anything that raises serotonin and have crashed from various 5ht1a agonists so it's definitely possible.

I crashed for a 1 month after creatine. Extreme blunting of emotions, dementia like cognition and akathisia. I will not dwell on the mechanism, just say that creatine was tolerated perfectly before PSSD

In my case crashing from artificial creatine feels similar to crashing from inositol
