Taking Antidepressants Young

Hi all,

I hope you're all well! Does anyone here have an experience in which they took an SSRI at a young age but still had improvements/gotten better?

I took SSRIs from the ages of 18-21, and I'm worried if that's holding back my healing as it's before the prefrontal cortex is developed at 25.

Hi, in my own experience I took Fluoxetine (prozac) from ages 15-19 without any sexual side effects. Its not until I reinstated 2 years later at age 21 I began to have sexual side effects

I took them from 15/16 - 18. I'll be 20 in a few months and haven't seen improvement (yet).

I took them when i was 18-19 (i'm 21 now). I have the same worries
