Hyperkalemia in PSSD?

Unread post by Meso »

One of the only discrepancies of my blood testing results after PSSD is always elevated potassium beyond normal range. 5.5 mmol/l (Normal range: 3.6 and 5.2).

Physicians dismiss it as asymptomatic and just advice avoiding high potassium foods, without investigating it further. My kidney function and aldosterone are normal. Limiting food potassium intake failed to lower it.

I looked back and I had four test results for potassium. They ranged from 4.0 to 5.0, all normal.
