"Downregulation of post-synaptic 5-HT2A receptor is an adaptive process provoked by chronic administration of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and atypical antipsychotics. "
from the 5-ht2a wiki page. On another article I lost track of, its a serotonin receptor thats very important for dopanergic transmission. (Ill look for that article later when Ive had some sleep).
Seems like regulation of the 5-ht2a receptor would increase dopamine and counter act effects of antidepressant medication use in the past...
5-ht1A is suspected in pssd but what about 5ht2a?
