Update 12-27-2019

Still on higher doses os buspirone ( 40 mg/day).

This "window" is lasting for more than two weeks, and It is getting better.
I am thinking more about sex and fantasizing a lot.
I am starting to feel an increased heartbeat and erections by just thinking about sex.
Yesterday, I had sex two times in less than 4 hours, and it was something quite rare even in my pre-SSRI years.
I am still experiencing better orgasms, but they require a lot of stimulation.

Anxiety/irritability is increasing too, and I am doubling my daily dose of mindfulness meditation to balance it.

I have some buspirone that I ordered online last year. Maybe it’s time to give it a trial

UPDATE - Dec-29-2019.

My second window of improvement is still lasting, awesome orgasms, erections, and growing libido.

But, unfortunately, my anxiety/OCD like symptoms that I had before got a prescription of Sertraline, are back and increasing; I started to notice it a few days ago, and that sucks.

I have a question for fellow members of this forum:

During your "window of improvement," does anyone experienced pre-SSRI symptoms (anxiety/depression/OCD, etc..) back?

Could you share your experience?

I am not going to reduce my buspirone dose and get back to my PSSD baseline again.

I am going to conquer this anxiety using meditation/relaxation exercises, whatever.

Regards,
Arahant

Complete recovery, I think my sexual life today is better than before sertraline.
Sex is much more enjoyable and I either have sex or masturbate almost every day.
The "window" is still lasting, up this moment I am writing. I think something lasting more than 6 months is far from a simple "window" or "wave".
I was off forums for a while, and It was also good to keep me away from ruminating pssd all day long.
The lab who invented buspirone is missing a huge market share and deserves billions.

Arahant,

Did you combine buspirone with any other meds throughout the time you have taken the drug? Cialis for instance? Also are you still taking buspar or have you stopped taking the pill and results are now permanent?

Also did you see significant improvement in your erections? I have severe ED and I am concerned to what extent buspar can help with that apart from boosting Libido.

I take Ritalin for ADHD, but I have taken buspirone alone with the same results.
It is also an anxiety pill that does not make you zombie-like benzo does.
If you experience lots of anxiety worries just before sex, It may help you not worry much and do not kill the erection by adrenaline overflow resulting in vasoconstriction.
But I also experienced spontaneous erections like 1-2 h after taking it, so I tried to have sex within the short half-life of this pill.
I have never taken cialis/viagra, but I do not think it is a similar effect.
I still take Buspar, I also tried many doses, but only the range 30-60mg/day worked great.
I have had full sexual response also like 6 hours after taking a pill.
Libido was the last thing to improve in my case, like 10 months taking it.
I am tapering it without noticing much loss. I hope it sticks. But I would not mind taking it for life, because I already take Ritalin for more than a decade and ADHD treatment it for life.

Have you experienced a manic episode in your life? Before ritalin, while on ritalin or shortly before you got PSSD?
Have you smoked weed on ritalin?

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It's appreciated.

So, in theory, Buspirone should work for all of us?
Do you recommend just taking 40mg daily, or is it accompanied by another drug? Also, for how long? 6 months?
Thank you so much for the info!
