Safe treatment options for mild PSSD?
Safe treatment options for mild PSSD?
Hello
Question to experienced members. What supplements would you recommend to someone with mild PSSD to enhance sexual function? Of course, only safer supplements/herbs can come into consideration, or al least things which have not been shown to cause crashes or worsen PSSD yet, so no hard drugs etc.
The only major symptom which still bothers me is a long refractory period (not so much erection-wise as it takes about an hour to be able to achieve it again, but libido wise - it sometimes takes up to 2-3 days to replenish. During this time frame sex feels boring. Is there anything to take which can help reduce refractory period? I heard pramipexole has been shown to reduce refractory period, but I want to avoid hard medications at all cost.
Others symptoms include:
- spontaneous libido is fine but still not as good as before as I don't feel sudden rush of extreme horniness which I often felt before, though I can get very aroused when forcing it
- erection quality is good and erections are rock hard for sufficient amount of time (so no need for cialis or viagra), but there are still no daytime spontaneous erections. Also, erections do not come so swiftly and instantly like before, they need a little bit more time.
There are no genital numbness nor anorgasmia, sex endurance is also fine.
So, based on this symptoms what herbs/supplements could suit me? I feel that with a little bit of push from some natural aphrodisiacs I could reach 100% of my old functionality.
Thank you very much

Re: Safe treatment options for mild PSSD?
Is going on a keto diet an option for you? It wouldn’t be risky and it could maybe help with refraction period
Re: Safe treatment options for mild PSSD?
Time. Seriously. Given that you don’t have much dysfunction nor have you had it for that long, the risks of messing with substances has a poor risk/ reward ratio, imo.
Best of luck.
Edit: your bio says you suffer from ED, but you describe your erections as “rock hard” here. Did your erections improve naturally or can you attribute it do anything you did/took?

Do nothing. Just enjoy what you have. It seems you have enough to live happily with just changing the thinking pattern. No any certain 100% risk free sup/med to try out and improve you.

Thanks. And sorry, I haven't updated my signature for a long time, that one is outdated from last year's November so I'll need to change it.naiverat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 1:40 am Time. Seriously. My erection quality has improved completely naturally as I've never taken anything, no supplements, herbs, let alone heavy drugs, but it all started with windows (first window appeared ~1.5 month after discontinuation) which increased in frequency week to week until it sorta balanced itself out to a new baseline of let's say 80% improvement.
So this "windows and vawes" pattern which someone proposed on surviving antidepressants forum was absolutely my case. When windows started occuring I told myself "better wait this out and don't rush and do stupid things" and it totally paid off.
However, I still consider that I have mild ED as long as my erections are not what they used to be prior to AD intake (for example no daytime spontaneous erections and they need more stimulus)

Re: Safe treatment options for mild PSSD?
It's out of consideration. I do really hard cardio resistance and weightlifting workouts so I need a lot of carbs for energy. But thanks for suggestion.
