I have finally recovered after 6 years!
I have finally recovered after 6 years!
Hello,
You may know me from various places as Nachoz (I was banned from most groups due to my extreme pessimism, agression and doubts about recovery)... well, I was wrong! After six years, I can thankfully say that I have recovered (both phisically and mentally). If it weren't for this forum and the help of others, I probably wouldn't be here. Now I want to help others because it's worth the fight.

Wishing everyone a speedy recovery,
Tomasz

Congrats man.. Can't imagine the joy of being free from this prison. Please post your story publicly with detail of what helped you.. There's no reason to keep it in private chats.

Naczoz Lives!
Man, I remember you used to be a typical PSSDoomer, pessimistic and hopeless/suicidal as hell.
I commend you for coming back to report your recovery.
I am super happy for you.
Best,
Arahant

Nice one!
I believe everyone has a good chance how ever long it takes, as long as they stay away from more drugs and compounds that just aggravate and prolong the condition.
As terrible as I am at the moment, nearly 3 years from the first attempts to taper, 13 months clean from the AP and 9 months clean from the AD, I can tell you for certain that recovery is possible and is happening all the time, even if many days I feel like dying the symptoms are that bad, they constantly morph into new as old symptoms go away. My PSSD symptoms were very foreign to the ones I have now and would actually be classed as PGAD now, but on my good days, my sexual function is great and each time I have good periods it a little better than the last.
I can't even take panadol for pain now due to drug sensitivity, Viagra also has a negative effect on my neuro/psychiatric symptoms. This is how I know more drugs to try fix the issue is a massive no no and one of the biggest key to recovery is staying away from any substances other than the essentials that come from food. I had this gut feeling right from the beginning and was lucky enough to only accepted a micro dose upon reinstatement, even that was probably a bad idea as reinstatement made some symptoms worse but it was more to curb the extreme fear and anxiety I had at the time and to keep me from going to ER all the time.
I use a chemical respirator when working with any organic solvents now during my projects as even amounts of vapor I can't even smell trigger reactions such as crashes/waves, vertigo and tremors/twitches, visual issues etc...
Slowly slowly, things improve in bits at a time and sensitivities like this decrease with time.
