Fenugreek

I want to try fenugreek. I asked in in natural food shop and they said fenugreek must be taken as tea. Could I use it orally, not as tea?

Fenugreek is available in capsules usually taken for lactation. You can also buy it as powder form from Amazon. Avoid a herbal extract form of it. It can lead to serotonin syndrome especially if combined with other medications that increase serotonin.

In my country there is no fenugreek capsules or powder, just herbal extract. I use MIrtazapine 15mg, is it safe to combo this two?

The problem with herbal extracts is that the extraction ratio is not always reported. I would play it safe and stay away from fenugreek extracts.

There is a recent published case report on a woman who had serotonin syndrome after combining Sertraline and a fenugreek lactation supplement.
