Hi, I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to know if PSSD involves numbing of emotions (I'm talking about the wide spectrum of human emotions)? Or it only involves numbing of the sexual response and sexual emotions?
Thanks for your help
Does PSSD involves numbing of emotions?
Re: Does PSSD involves numbing of emotions?
Yes. For me emotional numbness, lack of empathy and love is most painfull symptom of pssd.
Re: Does PSSD involves numbing of emotions?
Blunting your emotions was what these drugs were designed to do. They are pretty much heroin without the euphoria. We are in a permanent withdrawal state. Lack of motivation was also the first negative symptom from taking an ssri. I was very ambitious until ssri permanently numbed me of emotions.
Re: Does PSSD involves numbing of emotions?
So does PSSD go hand in hand with anhedonia?
Re: Does PSSD involves numbing of emotions?
Form what I can tell, Anhedonia/emotional blunting caused by PSSD affects a great deal of PSSD sufferers. With that said, I don’t think every single PSSD sufferer also has anhedonia. Some PSSD sufferers only have the sexual symptoms of PSSD.
