It would help if you could narrow down what macronutrients were involved. Like, try eating a few dinners of:
1. high carb, low fat, low protein
2. low carb, high fat, low protein
3. low carb, low fat, high protein
4. 24hr fast (water/electrolytes only)

Re: Any POSITIVE Updates?
There have been a number of PSSD/PFS people seeing improvements with various new treatments/protocols over the last year. So far there is no silver bullet that works for everyone but at least there is progress. On the theory side, we have Ghost here collaborating with some PFS'ers on a genetic analy...

I emailed the authors of the ABCB1 paper to see if they can provide it open access for us.

Re: Glucocorticoid receptors
Also, I have two minor alleles in the NR3C1 gene, which encodes GR. The SNPs are rs7701443 and rs12521436. I havent done a 24h cortisol test, but on a morning fasted blood test I showed low cortisol. I tend to take a while to feel fully awake in the mornings, so I suspect I have a weak cortisol awak...

Re: Identifying relevant substances
If you want to try directly agonizing or antagonizing cortisol receptors (which could cause a feedback loop to change cortisol levels), you can try mifepristone (antagonist) or dexamethasone (agonist).

Glucocorticoid receptors
We know androgen receptors (AR) are of importance to sexual function. For instance, Androgen Deprivation Therapy used to treat prostate cancer in young men can cause sexual dysfunction similar in many ways to PSSD [1]. Additionally, finasteride has been shown to upregulate AR [2,3]. But what about g...

Bunny, did you make any dietary changes during your healing period, or have you maintained a mostly similar diet this whole time?

Very exciting, we are all appreciative of your efforts. This is some excellent citizen science work. This is the kind of stuff that could one day end up as a front page story in the NY Times.
