Re: Brooks research Q/A
MSM? I never would have thought that MSM would have any effect at all. I took Bupropion for a while and for the first week, I had a pretty huge improvement in every aspect of my sexuality but then it just faded to nothing. It makes sense though because Bupropion has such a profound effect on Dopami...

Re: Cognitive Symptoms
I am on buspar for 2 weeks now and for what it's worth i feel more energized than the last 3 years. Ginkgo worked a bit too if you dont want any meds.

Re: why i think 5ht1a desensitiation theory is wrong.
So far my energy levels are up significantly. Bupropion did this as well for me in the past, but this feels much better somehow. It doesnt do much for lack of emotions though (or libido for that matter), but the brainfog is gone, and the side effects are rather limited. Looking back, I dont really u...

Re: why i think 5ht1a desensitiation theory is wrong.
I found it took a full 2 months for Nortriptyline to work, and smooth out. You might find the libido will improve, and that "blockage" feeling will disappear. Nortriptyline has barely an effect on serotonin as it can be combined with MAOIs. (Re: Dr gillman) If you dont get 100% response a...

Re: why i think 5ht1a desensitiation theory is wrong.
I guess ill have to be patient a bit then. Ive had 2 short windows in 3 weeks, but they also quicky disappeared. Feels a bit like i ran out of something, chemically. Buspar is indeed on my list, but it will also depend if my doc is experieced in that combination. I find that SSRI's have a bigger imp...

Re: why i think 5ht1a desensitiation theory is wrong.
Small update. One week on 100mg as planned. Side effects are mild (dry mouth) except there is some numbness and ED again, which is the serotonin i guess. Libido is up however, but feels a bit off (it's up, but is held back physically somehow, not the first time i have this feeling). Also, I feel som...

Re: why i think 5ht1a desensitiation theory is wrong.
If the side effects clear up i think you'll like it. It really gets dopamine going with potent 5ht2a/c antagonism, and potent norepinephrine reuptake inhibition. If response isn't satisfactory, add Trintellix and you'll see sparks fly. Lets hope so, the side-effects are rather mild so far, mainly s...

Increasing the dose from 50 to 100 today (was already planned), which is an average dose i was told.

Re: quick intro Jax
for a short time I actually had one combo in the past: Mirtazapine & Escitalopram. No impact on libido, but definately stronger erection, although that effect declined over time. I have read the combo's with nortriptyline on several fora, and im a bit surprized that nortrptyline and mirtazapine ...

I am using Nortriptyline for a week now and my first impression is rather positive
