Re: melissa officinalis ( lemon balm) Crash? Help!
You will bounce back. Lemon balm, amongst SO many other herbs can crash me too. Very annoying. Give it a week or so. Lemon balm has serotonin boosting properties or even some of its constituents can bind to 5-HT1A receptor I believe. Thank you. Yes, it's unbelievable. I needed something for anxiety...

Could you explain further? At this moment I feel I'm back to square 1. They conclude it's a serotonergic antidepressant.Thomas wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 12:01 pmNo.Gonzo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 7:31 am I've also found this studies, does this means it acts as an SSRI?

melissa officinalis ( lemon balm) Crash? Help!
I took this herb and now I feel completely sexually numb. I'm freaking out really bad, can't believe that maybe I have crashed again? I've just read it's a serotonergic antidepressant. I've also found this study, does this means it acts as an SSRI? https://www.google.cl/url?sa=t&source=web&r...

Desloratadine (muscarinic antagonist), safe??
After the crash I had with the anthistaminic chlorphenamine, that was actually a, real SSRI, I study every possible drug that I should take. I was prescribed desloratadine, and the only thing I can find is that it is muscarinic acetycholine receptors antagonist, does this represents any danger to PS...

Re: Thoughts on 5HT1A antagonists?
5ht1a antagonists will probably not sensitize the receptor because there is a large concentration of serotonin in our synapses from sert down regulation. Antagonists will just increase 5ht firing, by blocking 5ht1a receptors, which will worsen symptoms. We need to focus on finding ways to upregulat...

Re: Has anyone's PSSD got worse with benzos?
Beware of nocebo effect. If you are too scared, you will get worse with anything so it might be safer to avoid everything until you feel confident enough to take it. Yes, It will make it worse only for a while in that case. I just got traumatized after I made my pssd worse with an anthistaminic tha...

Re: Benzos, do they make PSSD worse?
The worst scenario makes you sleepy. Any possible effects are temporary. For people with anxiety and stress problems benzos (low dosing) can help with sex. From my experience on diazepam (only take when need and generally low dosing 2.5-5mg) I don’t have (during and after) any bad sexual side effec...

With dopamine agonist, I basically mean antipsychotics.sovietxrobot wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 10:50 am Dopamine antagonists can caused neuroleptic induced deficit syndrome which is quite similar to the cognitive and affective symptoms of PSSD (anhedonia, avolition, etc), they will probably not help.
