Re: New to forum, my story

Crazy story, sorry to hear all you've been through. Did you have sexual dysfunction before taking SSRIs? Did you notice a rapid onset of sexual dysfunction after starting the SSRIs that persisted for >6 months after stopping? If not, you may have dodged a bullet and your problems may not be related ...

Re: TalkingAnt summary/log

I had seen some improvements before TRT. I had some windows where I was able to have sex fairly well, and thought that with the right woman I could live with my state, granted there would be low periods. In the months after TRT, I saw dramatic improvements to where I am today, where my libido and fu...

Re: TalkingAnt summary/log

Still cured, libido, EQ, etc is all good! The issues I had with sleep turned out to be anxiety related which I addressed with methods by the Youtube videos of Sleep Coach School and the book "Untangle Your Anxiety" which I highly recommend to anyone with anxiety/insomnia. Feel free to DM m...

Re: PSSD After Reinstatement of SSRI

Are there people who have been on an SSRI, come off and not had PSSD, but then gone back on, off again and then got PSSD? Yes this has been reported before. If you already feel like SSRI is negatively affecting you, I don't think its worth the risk to chance it again. However your reasons for belie...

Re: PSSD After Reinstatement of SSRI

A taper is unlikely to resolve those "withdrawal" symptoms, in quotes because I suspect after 3.5 months it would be better to classify them as psychological rather than drug induced. You simply numbed yourself while on SSRI and now you are facing the underlying negative emotions. Somethin...

Re: 20 year old male with PSSD

Ykatan: Do not make unfounded claims about PSSD or deny the existence of recoveries. This forum exists to support PSSD sufferers, not kick them while they're down. Further behavior of this type will result in a ban. Many recovery stories exist in the very forum you are posting on, if you actually lo...

Re: Spinal tap and 100% resolution of PSSD

Yes, one can have a deletion of the CYP2D6 gene, leading to total absence of this enzyme. The linked paper suggests it is 4-6% occurrence in some ethnicities. But it is more common to have a mutation leading to reduced expression or function. And one would have to inherit the gene deletion from both...

Re: Could the mods add a “cured stories” section?

It's a good idea. There are many such stories buried in the archives of this forum, and it wouldn't be such a pain to find them if this section existed in the first place. I am thinking it could be called "success stories" to be a little more broad. I worry however that if we create it rig...
