PRL-8-53
Just stumbled across this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PRL-8-53 The exact mechanism of action of PRL-8-53 remains unknown. Doses up to 200 mg/kg are not observed to have stimulant properties, and a dosage of 20 mg/kg does not potentiate the effects of dextroamphetamine in rats.[1] It displays poss...

Re: Varicocele-guy introduction and a possible breakthrough - Normal dose naltrexone
I don’t think there is a dopamin system dysfunction. Basically, serotonin inhibiting the dopamine. AR desensitization causing much more serotonin in the synapses. And we think, autoreceptors don’t resensitize because some responsible genes are altered by SSRI. We should concentrate to most reliable...

Re: Varicocele-guy introduction and a possible breakthrough - Normal dose naltrexone
I've found something which may explain why naltrexone temporarily fixed my erecions but not libido: http://pharmrev.aspetjournals.org/content/53/3/417.full#title62 Several central transmitters involved in the erectile control have been identified. Dopamine, acetylcholine, nitric oxide (NO), and pept...

Re: Long term SSRI use lowers neurosteroid levels
A single injection (20 mg/kg i.p.) of fluoxetine or mirtazapine resulted in significant increases in the cerebrocortical and plasma concentrations of 3alpha,5alpha-TH PROG and 3alpha,5alpha-TH DOC. In contrast, long-term administration (10 mg/kg i.p., once daily for 2 weeks) of fluoxetine, but not ...

Re: Watery semen and low semen volume - what could be the cause?
The TRPV1 channels get downregulated from Chronic SSRI treatment, leading to low gonadal blood flow, slow nutrient delivery, leading to watery semen and infertility characteristics. I don't think this explains the fact that while I was 18 months on paxil my semen still looked normal, and that it go...

Re: Another idea for treating PSSD
Tianeptine is a SSRE, but it’s some effects are same as SSRI’s. Tianeptine is not a SSRE: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10969144 A single paroxetine dose (1 mg/kg, i.p.) increased [5-HT](ext) over baseline in the frontal cortex and raphe nuclei, respectively. A single administration of tianep...

Re: Watery semen and low semen volume - what could be the cause?
I took a sperm test this week.
The sperm's parameters are okay (percentage of living spermatozoids etc.)
Only the quantity is very low (0.5 ml) and consistency is watery.

Can't function without amisulpride, don't know what to do
I'm stuck in a shithole for a couple of months. At the end of january when I realised I have PSSD, I got from it extreme depression and anxiety (GAD). I lost joy in everything. I had to take three weeks of sick leave in my job and I had to take meds in order to stabilize myself. Shrink prescribed me...
