Re: PSSD in 2021 | Melcangi Study Info, Future Research and Activism

Nice job, guys. Looks like the community is rallying and we are making progress toward funding this.

Re: PSSD in 2021 | Melcangi Study Info, Future Research and Activism

Great post, Bear. Research is invaluable to the community — a community currently reliant upon vague untested theory and risky trial-and-error treatment approaches. We need answers. Good to see the disparate PSSD communities coming together for the common good. Let’s make this happen. Happy new year...

Re: Worst offenders for PSSD and things to avoid taking

This should really be pinned. Almost every “severe” case is a result of a crash or multiple crashes after the initial PSSD onset. Good list, but by no means should people consider this exhaustive. Once your condition is pretty bad, it appears the body becomes ultra sensitive to any hormonal fluctuat...

Re: TRT question?

I’m pretty sure you’re referring to my post - the one where I discussed PSSD with the biochemist and he suggested that TRT should be used as “a last resort.” Well, I should start by saying I’m on “TRT” now as well. I put it in quotes because I’m taking what one might consider superphysiological dose...

Re: Potential Avenues to Investigate

^ I’m aware. I was championing for Melcangi to complete this research about a year ago. I really hope we can raise (far) beyond the 10k and really make a dent in unveiling this mystery. Unfortunately, this isn’t the most wealthy of communities, so we will likely need to spread awareness among friend...

Re: Potential Avenues to Investigate

^ Yeah - we can speculate until we are blue in the face (maybe bad expression....), but we won't really ever know what the hell is going on in our bodies until some type of formal research is conducted, which, if we could even get our act together and fund it, would still take years. All we can do i...

Re: Safe treatment options for mild PSSD?

Time. Seriously. Given that you don’t have much dysfunction nor have you had it for that long, the risks of messing with substances has a poor risk/ reward ratio, imo. Best of luck. Edit: your bio says you suffer from ED, but you describe your erections as “rock hard” here. Did your erections improv...

Re: Potential Avenues to Investigate

I haven’t been super active on the forum, so I hadn’t been monitoring this topic. I’m not sure exactly what is under the hood, but it appears the low body temps are common in the post-drug communities (many have them here as well as on PropeciaHelp). It doesn’t seem the solution is as easy as raisin...

Re: TalkingAnt summary/log

Awesome, Ant. Glad you’re doing so well now. 10 years is a hell of a battle. “It is strange that for the first few weeks after the PCT, my improvements were lost, only to gradually return in the following months as I implemented lifestyle changes.” I assume this post is comprehensive, so you didn’t ...

Re: PAS/PFS/PSSD treatment, critique and correct, Please! (Test Results Attached)

Considering we still don't fully understand the mechanisms underlying any of these conditions -- just hypotheses -- it's very hard to critique your proposed regimen.

With that said, best of luck with whatever you try. Keep a log and keep us updated on the outcomes!
