Quick update on my personal experience
Hey all, I've been living with PSSD for a little over three years after taking sertraline (generic Zoloft). My back story is posted here: http://www.pssdforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=53&p=203#p203 . I originally posted that intro about three years ago on the old forum. I was 28 at the time....

It's official: Flibanserin, or 'female Viagra,' to hit U.S. market in October. Thoughts?
This drug has been mentioned on here before, and it was approved today by the FDA and is supposed to be available by October, according to Newsweek. (http://bit.ly/1gVrVO3) The "female Viagra" bit is a misnomer as this drug is not meant to affect blood flow. It also doesn't work on hormone...

Re: Who has tried ropinirole?
Thanks guys, I really appreciate everyone's feedback. On its own it does 'little to nothing much' for me. But combined with Viagra it gives good response. I was thinking this might be a realistic expectation. Naturally there's a part of me that hopes everything I try will be a silver bullet and fix ...

Re: Who has tried ropinirole?
Thanks for the reply. Did you try it specifically for PSSD? I've put off using a dopamine agonist for a couple years now because of being wary of them, but I've tried several other things with little results. The only thing I've found that makes a substantial difference for me is Cialis, and I reall...

Who has tried ropinirole?
If you have tried ropinirole (Requip), please share your experience. The only person I've seen talk about using it is Sonny. I've read the reviews on askapatient.com from people who've used it for RLS and Parkinson's, and a lot of men mention higher libido and more erections as side effects, so that...

Good idea on the Recent Topics section. It makes it really easy to keep up with new posts.

Re: SSRI "discontinuation syndrome" and PSSD
I also went through withdrawal, most notably brain zaps and insomnia. I was afraid they were going to be permanent, but they lasted about a month. The insomnia was maddening at the time. I also was emotionally unstable for a while, although I didn't have any breakdowns or outbursts.

Re: Effects of different SSRIs on 5-HT1A(r)
It was sertraline that got me, too. What did you take that made it worse? Now, I just read your introduction, and it appears that you have had this problem since late 2012, right? I quit sertraline a year before, in October or November 2011, after about 8 or 9 months on it. Does cialis work for you...
