Re: Zinc

Didn't see your reply until now. While taking the 25mg/day, i didn't really notice any changes other than a transient reduction in PSSD severity. It wasn't consistent. Some days were better than others. It is interesting to see that the Magnesium could have an effect on how well Zinc works. I could ...

Re: Zinc

It's been about 5 days since I stopped the 25mg/day of Picolinate and unfortunately I didn't get any kind of improvement. I'm willing to try 50mg/day in hopes that the higher amount will result in a rebound effect and give me temporary recovery upon stopping. I also have one question gatogordito, di...

Re: Zinc

I've been taking Zinc picolinate for about two weeks. Will take it for about another week. Hopefully once I stop I'll see some improvement similar to the kind that you've had. Crossing my fingers. This article also mentions that there is an agonist/antagonist binding profile for zinc: https://www1....

Re: Be carefull about Dopamine agonists ! They might damage You

I've heard of DAWS and it sounds like a pretty brutal withdrawal syndrome. I personally think the risk is worth it for people who have PSSD, because the symptoms for some may never improve to pre-SSRI levels. This includes anhedonia and cognitive damage which also occur with PSSD.

Epigenetic Side Effects of Common Pharmaceuticals

Lots of good info in this article. The gist of it is that there are persistent changes to gene expression that encodes the 5ht1a receptor. Besides stimulants, SSRI antidepressants have been shown to cause long-term alterations in gene expression, presumably result- ing from chronic elevation of sero...
