Re: Progesterone
Hi all! I wanted to add that thanks to the kindness of my GP I got my progesterone tested again (NHS lab) and it came back at 1 nmol/L. Now, you guessed it, no one knows what to do with this information. I wanted to raise a few points which I think we would need to address to solidify a progesterone...

Re: anyone else get bruxism or head spasms?
A month after I stopped I developed a terrible pain in my jaw. I never thought it could be related at the time. After a few months of pain and jaw "exercises" given by my dentist I was able to resolve it. It looks like SSRIs can cause TMJ.

Re: Estradiol and DHT
I don't remember the exact details, but in that study they used I think 3 measures for male sexual behaviour. E2 recovered 2 of them and E2+DHT the other one. Some confusing thoughts: They castrated the rats and then administered E2 and DHT. I guess this ensures you have the expected concentrations ...

I bought a tincture and will also be trialing this. I took some last night and this morning and have not noticed any difference so far.

Re: Is anyone getting bald troughout PSSD?
No but I already wrote that I stopped going bald because of it. The DHT is a part in the puzzle for sure. Many of us here have elevated progesterone and as alredy said progesterone is the most potent known inhibitor of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestostero...

Re: Progesterone, 17- Oh progesterone, Androstenedione
I have had some dodgy lab 'health' clinics and tests in UK before for various things like stomach bacteria and stuff. If anybody could recommend some kind of place in london or the uk they think might sound legit. I really wanna get this test too. maybe we have found it. thats exciting. surely we c...

Looking at the methodology ...

Re: Progesterone, 17- Oh progesterone, Androstenedione
Thanks for looking into this Ghost! Apologies if I missed this, but it seems most of the studies mention SSRIs causing changes in 3aHSD activity. Do you have reason to believe that SSRIs would affect 3bHSD as well (other than elevated progesterone)?

Re: Progesterone, 17- Oh progesterone, Androstenedione
Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum. My story abbreviated - Citalopram 40 mg between July 2015 and May 2016. Had some sexual issues while on the medication and it was not helping my mental health issues much so I decided to stop hoping my sexuality would return to normal. Was not meant to be. I am ab...
