Welcome to the forum! What drug combinations help you have better orgasms? Which treatments have helped you with which symptoms? Did your anhedonia affect other parts of your body besides sex? Nipples? Thighs, belly, arms, back? Do you feel emotions of love? Emotional excitement over sexual stimuli?...

Re: My theory for overnight PSSD upon 2nd, or 3rd SSRI
Interesting stuff. This same theory of memory and prediction could explain the persistent disorders induced by chronic stress (repeated trauma).

Re: Interested to hear from anyone that improved significantly, after years of pssd
I'm a woman, I'm 30 and I've had sexual dysfunction since probably at least adolescence (complex trauma = chronic stress during childhood + adolescence). I improved with 150 mg bupropion alone and 300 mg bupropion + 20 mg buspirone). I then experienced a worsening and I suspect a paradoxical reactio...

My experience with low-dose lithium orotate and its cognitive and sexual improvements
I experienced my first sexual improvement with lithium last night with my husband! We were both impressed. The road to recovery is still long, but this mineral gives us great hope. I'm going to use this thread to share with you all my improvements and experiments with lithium over the next few month...

Re: About cognitive symptoms..
I have some cognitive problems (such as auto-biographical memory problems) without at the moment knowing any improvement on that after taking a variety of substances. People with cognitive problems can certainly benefit from stimulants (like methylphenidate, modafinil or herbs like a combination of ...

Re: no improvement yet on lithium
The massage + lithium combination can certainly help. In my opinion, it should be tried every day for people with numbness. Touch is one of the things that can stimulate neuroplasticity, and lithium is known to stimulate neuroplasticity too. That said, I have my doubts as to whether improvement in p...

Re: no improvement yet on lithium
Just to let you know, from what I've read about the use of lithium for PSSD, it's recommended (by Meso, a neuropharmacologist specializing in PSSD) to take it below 400 mg lithium carbonate (40 mg lithium orotate) because at therapeutic doses for bipolar patients, it's pro-anhedonia and pro-sexual d...

Re: possible upregulation of receptors with Huperzine A?
The only way to know if a substance works for you is to try it.
There have been studies with Huperzine A for Alzheimer's disease.
From memory, the therapeutic dosage was 400 mcg.

Re: PSSD in 2024 and beyond: Meso's thoughts
Thank you for the good news and I'm sorry to hear that you have multiple sclerosis. In 2021 you created the thread " Symptoms and their specific treatments ", I'd be curious to read you about it today, especially about the lack of pleasure sensations (physical anhedonia) on the genital are...

Re: Lithium orotate + DHEA
Actually, on rereading, if she hadn't stopped SSRIs, it wasn't PSSD but a medication-related side effect.
PSSD is reported 6 months after stopping the medication and is persistent sexual dysfunction - without any drugs.
