Re: Tucker Carlson discusses SSRIs on Monday July 25, 2022 show

I came across this. Jay Bhattacharya (Stanford) talks some about problems with antidepressants. Worth a few comments about PSSD? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiylV54d110 Popular psychiatrist's YouTube channel - lots of pro-antidepressant comments 'changed my life' etc. Could do with some PSSD com...

Re: Tucker Carlson discusses SSRIs on Monday July 25, 2022 show

I have written to the editor of Huff Post to suggest they do a proper piece of journalism about PSSD and stop trying to use the 'antidepressant issue' as a football to play culture wars. Lives are at stake.

Re: Tucker Carlson discusses SSRIs on Monday July 25, 2022 show

I tend to lean more to the left with my politics and am no great fan of Tucker Carlson, but I applaud his attempts to publicise the harms done by antidepressants. The article in the Huff post is a disgusting, unbalanced piece of click-bait, designed purely to create division. I had no idea how low H...

Re: Grief and rage

A young family member of mine was put onto an SSRI during a period of distressing events. They experienced a reaction to the SSRI so the Drs raised the dose beyond the maximum, then switched them to an SNRI and took the dose to the maximum, then added an antipsychotic to 'augment' the drug disaster...

Re: Sexual anhedonia

Hi Emu, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing. Take heart, 1-month is still a short time to have sexual dysfunction after stopping the drugs and things may still right themselves. Live as healthily as you can and take care of yourself emotionally in the meantime. If you can exerci...

Re: Serotonin scandal! Opportunity for disclosure NOW!!

I've written to the journalist who covered this story for the Guardian to alert him about PSSD. My feeling is that if they've shown themselves willing to criticise the serotonin hypothesis, then they may be willing to look into other matters that aren't being explained factually when people are pres...

Re: Dr Healy fundraising

Please contribute anything you can. I do understand that what many of us have been through in our encounter with psychiatry has left us with reduced circumstances, but if you could donate even a little this would help to demonstrate the demand for research in this area. High public demand will attra...

Re: Serotonin scandal! Opportunity for disclosure NOW!!

I posted this into the comments section at the end of the Evening Standard article, and it vanished shortly after :( "Another little known fact about SSRI and SNRI medications is that they frequently cause devastating sexual dysfunction and that, for some people, this can last indefinitely afte...
