Re: Effect of anti-inflammatory medications on PSSD symptoms
1) Ibruprofen 2) One dose - 2x 200mg tablets 3) Developed PSSD after taking. Had taken antidepressants 2 months before, but didn't have sexual side effects on that one and everything seemed fine. 4) I don't know for sure it was that as also stopped propanolol a few days before and had a possible vag...

Re: About Wellbutrin
I'm the opposite. I have tinnitus and stopped caring about that when I got PSSD. The PSSD is much worse. I'd take and increase in tinnitus to get rid of this.

Re: PSSD stories from 80', 90'.
I just think that if you didn't have Internet when it occurred, most people are unlikely to research about their problem 10 years later. Even if they did they would need to put in the right terms. They may not have made the link to medication. There are also plenty of people who still don't use or r...

Re: How do some people get off ssri's and NOT get pssd?
Also when you think about SSRIs (or even other medication) why do some people get any bad side effects or reactions when others don't? Same for a lot of thing in life. I think there has to be a genetic factor or maybe weakness from other things.

Re: PSSD stories from 80', 90'.
Possibly they have. Maybe newer drugs cause it more often, maybe antidepressants are prescribed more. Also due to no internet/less access and information online likely many people never realised they had it. Problems would've been attributed to other factors.

Re: Female PSSD ongoing symptoms
Yes I was getting extreme anxiety, the kind where I felt like jumping off a building to stop it. It was the level of anxiety you'd get if someone held a gun to your head. I'm pretty much sure it started when I started Sertraline, but may have had some before due to breathing problems/hyperventilatio...

Re: Female PSSD ongoing symptoms
What's MDs? I just dealt with it myself with my partner as best as we could and with some success. I am aware of muscle training you mention with different sized objects. However my problem only occurs during intercourse, so not totally sure this would help (I have less problems with physical exams ...

Re: Female PSSD ongoing symptoms
Yes, probably, although not tried penetration for a few years. It only affects sex with me. I'm not that bothered about it now. I've made peace with the fact that it wasn't for me and don't feel the need to do it. It got better to an acceptable level that I could do it with only a bit of discomfort ...

Re: Female PSSD ongoing symptoms
Just because it hasn't affected you, doesn't mean it definitely can't cause it. I also stopped Mirtazapine about 2 months before. I was literally 2 days after I stopped it, so seems to be that, but I think it was just the thing that tipped me over the edge. I had sexual problems on Sertraline last y...

Female PSSD ongoing symptoms
I've had what I think is PSSD for 6 months following Propanolol discontinuation (after 2 weeks) and one dose of ibruprofen. My worst symptoms is lack of sensation, particularly sexual sensation. I can feel with light pressure, but this gets less with deep pressure and find it hard to find the right ...
