Re: Delving into the sex hormones connection

The common thing they share with PFS is changing serum estradiol versus testosterone ratio for the duration of therapy. But here's what I don't understand: if the receptors are upregulated, wouldn't homeostasis cause an overall decrease in testosterone synthesis as a compensatory reaction? This is ...

Re: Sex hormone receptors changed in erectile dysfunction by diabetes

At this point, i don't have a single doubt about androgen implication in PSSD. There's no doubt in my mind that sex hormones and their receptors are involved now, thanks to the studies that you have shared before. I think there's reduced density of androgen and estrogen receptors, causing sex hormo...

Re: Attempting to cure/reverse my own PSSD

But if you're doing that, wouldn't that mean this would potentially be a complete cure after a while without needing to stay on any meds? Apologies if I'm missing something obvious. Yes, it could, if I'm truly lucky. That said, depending on whether my severe life-disabling anxiety disorder would al...

Re: Attempting to cure/reverse my own PSSD

Hypothetically speaking, what other things would be needed to benefit from LTP? I can't imagine just doing psychedelics by themselves would be enough. I did shrooms a few years ago with no lasting effects, positive or negative. Restore HPA axis reactivity. Cortisol -> glutamate release -> LTP. This...

Re: Attempting to cure/reverse my own PSSD

You speaked about SJW, I had a nice window with that in low dose in the past, not particularly in sex, but in anhedonia (My biggest problem, it's ruining my working life). Do you suggest to stack it? Or any other supplement do you feel being useful to stop tolerance? I see you stack with other meds...

Re: Attempting to cure/reverse my own PSSD

Million dollar question, you expect presynaptic sensitivity to normalize or always go back to pre-ssri baseline when/if coming off? Always go back to abnormal sensitivity. This purely genetic/epigenetics, as such the only "real" cure from PSSD/depression would be gene therapy OR DNA demet...

Re: Barbaar intro

Will do, would a creatinine, urea, albumin, GFR and urine analysis be enough? I can get that without going through my GP and he doesn't believe in PSSD so I'd rather avoid him if possible. My eGFR is fine so I don't think I should worry too much but I'll get it done just in case. Also do you think p...
